The new ID.7 Tourer

The ID.7 is the top model among the electric VW models - a progressive hatchback with a long range. Volkswagen is now expanding the ID.7 range in Europe to include an estate: the new ID.7 Tourer.
It is one of the first fully electric estate cars in the upper mid-size class. Volkswagen is also present there with the new Passat Estate. Both model series complement each other and together cover all relevant drive types - from highly efficient petrol and diesel vehicles to plug-in hybrids with a predicted electric range of more than 100 kilometers (WLTP) and all-electric vehicles. The new ID.7 Tourer combines the emission benefits of electromobility with long WLTP ranges (up to 685 km), a high-quality cockpit, a high level of travel comfort and generous space - making it an ideal business car.

Electric all-rounder. The ID.7 Tourer differs significantly from the hatchback saloon at the rear. The design of the electric estate is characterized in particular by the long roofline and its elegant transition into the tailgate. Stylistically, the Tourer is a fusion of a classic estate in the format of the Passat and a dynamic Shooting Brake in the style of the Arteon. The extra height in the rear results in a further increase in trunk space compared to the hatchback: with five people on board, the ID.7 Tourer can hold up to 605 liters of luggage (rear seat backrest in the cargo position). Loaded up to the backrests of the front seats and roof high, this figure rises to up to 1,714 liters.
Up to 685 km WLTP range. The new ID.7 Tourer has a latest-generation electric drive system on board. Volkswagen will offer two different battery sizes for the ID.7 Tourer. Depending on the energy content of the battery, the electric touring car will have a WLTP range of up to 685 km. The maximum charging capacity of the largest battery will be up to 200 kW at DC fast-charging stations. With this power, the battery should be charged from 10 to 80 percent in well under 30 minutes.
AR head-up display as standard. The new ID.7 Tourer is being launched with innovative technology features. These include the augmented reality head-up display as standard. It projects information relevant to driving into the driver's field of vision so that they do not have to take their eyes off the road. At the same time, the AR head-up display changes the cockpit architecture, as the classic instruments have become smaller.
New wellness in-car app. Volkswagen has achieved a level of comfort in the new ID.7 Tourer that matches that of the luxury class. This is made possible by details such as the air vents, which are automatically controlled by small actuators, and ergoActive seats with a new pressure point massage and automatic seat climate control. Another innovation on board is the panoramic roof called "Smart Glass", whose glass layers can be electronically switched to be opaque or clear. The Wellness In-Car app is also completely new on board. It can be used to adjust various vehicle functions via three preconfigured programs ("Fresh up", "Calm Down" and "Power Break"), which can help to increase well-being while driving or during breaks. Depending on the vehicle equipment, the app uses the ambient lighting, sound, climate control, "Smart Glass" switching, seat climate control and seat massage as well as ID.LIGHT and the infotainment screen.

Fuel consumption and emission values for the vehicle are only available according to WLTP and not NEDC. Information on consumption andCO2 emissions in ranges depending on the selected equipment of the vehicle.
The stated consumption and emission values were determined in accordance with the legally prescribed measurement methods. On January 1, 2022, the WLTP test cycle completely replaced the NEDC test cycle, meaning that no NEDC values are available for vehicles newly type-approved after this date. The information does not relate to an individual vehicle and does not form part of the offer, but is intended solely for the purpose of comparison between the different vehicle types. Additional equipment and accessories (add-on parts, tire format, etc.) can change relevant vehicle parameters such as weight, rolling resistance and aerodynamics and, in addition to weather and traffic conditions and individual driving behavior, can influence the fuel consumption, power consumption,CO2 emissions and driving performance of a vehicle. Due to the more realistic test conditions, the fuel consumption andCO2 emission values measured according to the WLTP are in many cases higher than those measured according to the NEDC. This may result in corresponding changes to vehicle taxation since September 1, 2018. Further information on the differences between WLTP and NEDC can be found at https://www.volkswagen.de/wltp. Further information on the official fuel consumption and the official specificCO2 emissions of new passenger cars can be found in the "Guide on the fuel consumption,CO2 emissions and electricity consumption of new passenger cars", which is available at all sales outlets and from DAT Deutsche Automobil Treuhand GmbH, Hellmuth-Hirth-Str. 1, D-73760 Ostfildern or at www.dat.de/co2.
